America 250 Should Be Celebrated By All
Tomorrow is Independence Day, the 250th birthday of this great country. The greatest country in the world. It should be a day where all Americans can celebrate the fact that they live where they do. A place with opportunity like no other. A place with freedom and liberty like no other.
But it will not be that day for many. Many still despise this place and are trying to fundamentally change it into something far less great. Patriotism is low in this country right now, and that can be traced directly to the left. Only about a quarter of them said they would display a flag on Independence Day. Compare that to close to three quarters of those who identify as conservative or Republican. Patriotism among those right of center remains consistently high regardless of who is in the Oval Office. It was 89% when Obama occupied it, and has stayed pretty consistent since. Liberals, on the other hand, only like the country when their guy is in charge. Democrats were proud of this country to the tune of 85% in 2013 (a figure I find very hard to believe), but those were different times. In 2023, with Biden still in the White House, it was 29%. And now? 14%. That’s it. And with the wave of Democratic Socialists coming in, that number will decline further, because there are precisely zero of them who love this place.
Interestingly enough, the people who constantly rage against this country and its founding will not leave. They know deep down, though they will not admit it, that opportunity is greater here than anywhere else in the world. It’s why there are caravans trying to get in, not going the other way. There are no mass migrations trying to get into Venezuela, or Cuba, or Haiti, or Mexico. Or pretty much anywhere else. They all want to come here. And the left wants to let them in so they can change it to there. These people coming here carry flags of the countries they are trying to escape. Sorry, we don’t want this place to become a $h!+hole country like the one you came from. And if the left has a problem with that language and claims these countries are not $h!+holes, then they would have no problem sending people back there. Can’t have that both ways. In the rare instances that they do leave, they never go to the Nigeria, Ethiopia, or Somalia. They go to Ireland, Canada, the UK, or Norway. Places whiter than a cue ball.
Socialism is for the people, not the socialist. (I’ll always give credit to Andrew Wilkow for that quote, because it’s one of the best ones out there.) Look at what they are trying to do here. They want to regulate your car and your ovens. They want to beat you to death with the cudgel of “racism” while pushing for the Islamification of the western world, a so-called “religion” where women have no rights and get beaten regularly. And as of the other day, Zorhan Mamdani wants to regulate your air conditioning. He told New Yorkers to set their thermostats to 78 degrees. He also claims he balanced the budget, but that was a lie. He only got the money because of aid from the rest of the state. The redder portion. Not only that, a good chunk of it came out of pension contributions. There is a word for that. Theft. The DSA will never sacrifice anything of their own. They get to live like elites while you struggle. Hope you enjoy what you voted for, New York.
So celebrate tomorrow. Celebrate the greatness of this land. America 250 is not President Trump’s celebration. It is America’s. Love this place. Love it or leave it.
