The False Conservatives Dividing Us

The alt right, the woke right, or whatever you want to call it has done nothing but divide. Having arguments and dissention on our own side is normal, and healthy. It shows we have diversity of thought, something the left lacks. But this movement had gone beyond that. They generally join the left in many of their stances and accusations. Once you start aiding the side of communism, burning cities, growing government, assaulting cops, freeing criminals, and destroying our country from within by inundating it with illegals, you’ve stepped over the line.

This blog has addressed the issue before. (See “Conservative Fracture” from 11/17/25.) It has worsened since then. It certainly is not going to help with the upcoming midterm elections. Charlie Kirk’s assassination should have united us, but for some reason, things went the other direction. Conspiracies over that assassination and the conflict in Iran are likely the two main catalysts. Recall the wise words of Ronald Reagan. “The person who agrees with you 80 percent of the time is a friend and an ally – not a 20 percent traitor.” The common attribution is “My 80% friend is not my 20% enemy.” Those on the fringe are ignoring this. They’d rather side with people they agree with 5% of the time than people they agree with 80% of the time. It makes very little sense.

Trump Isn’t Right All the Time

…..Other endorsements Trump has made (many here in South Carolina) have been abysmal. He endorsed the rino caucus in the state house with a roughly 30% conservative voting record collectively. He also endorsed his lapdog, Lindsey Graham, the warmonger who votes conservatively 43% of the time. Any serious conservative rejects Graham. But somehow Lindsey Graham is MAGA and Thomas Massie is not. A 43% vs. 99% conservative voting record, respectively. I was having trouble wrapping my finger around that one, but it made more sense when I heard an interview President Trump did with Sean Hannity recently. He told Hannity he was more common sense than conservative. The harsh reality is that Donald Trump is not the conservative so many of us desire him to be. Has he done some great things? Absolutely. His cutting down on illegal immigration and securing the border has been spot on. Crime is down dramatically. No tax on tips and social security – I’m all for that stuff. Tax cuts extended. Good. Men out of women’s sports and private spaces – good. (Although the left is still fighting that.) Supreme Court Judges. Defeating Roe v. Wade. All good stuff.

But occasionally President Trump will say something that ought to make conservatives scratch their heads. For instance, he recently mentioned how we need 600,000 Chinese students in our universities. Why? To spy on us? How many Americans are in their universities? The Chinese are buying up farmland here, especially next to military bases, and we are allowing it. We cannot do that over there. Trump went on to praise the entire university system, which is 90% liberal. The same university system that preaches communism daily and would be fine if he was assassinated. The same university system that saw Charlie Kirk get assassinated. The same university system that violently riots whenever a conservative wants to exercise their first amendment rights. “Without them, America’s college system would collapse,” Trump said. Challenge accepted. Fewer tax payer-funded endowments and more careers driven by skills that are actually needed. That would lead to fewer gender studies majors graduating and finding nothing to do except live in their parents’ basement. H1Bs are another area where Trump gets it wrong. It’s a way to justify illegals. How about when he met with Zohran Mamdani in the White House? You don’t make friends with communists, you defeat them. That meeting was a travesty. The guy calls Trump a fascist right to his face, and he rolls out the red carpet. He has not cut spending, as our debt grows exponentially.

Don’t get me wrong, he was still 1000x better than what we would have had if the election had gone the other way.

Conservatism: Fighting the Left AND the Establishment

The establishment is full of fakery. Phony people acting like they are on the side of righteousness and truth when they are not. This is something that has become much more apparent to me since I moved. Since South Carolina is such a red state, there are many areas where Democrats cannot get elected. The solution? Do what state senator Luke Rankin did. Switch your party and run as a Republican while not changing the way you vote or represent the people. South Carolina is often referred to as the “bluest red state” in the nation, and with good reason. It turns out very little conservative legislation, and the reason is because the politicians are pulling the wool of the eyes of their constituents. It’s the reason we get people like Lindsey Graham, with his lifetime 43% conservative voting record. These people would run as Democrats if this was a blue state. They would have to. These people go wherever the winds are blowing, which takes no courage whatsoever. We conservatives fight uphill battles consistently, while they support the candidates with the most money. The ones with the biggest PACs. The ones who are the most easily controllable. They sacrifice their morals and their souls to back people with political power. The citizens are merely an afterthought.

Fighting the Power Hungry Establishment in South Carolina

The career politician-loving class does not just exist on the national level, it exists on the local level, and I have been battling them for four years, since I got involved in local politics. These people are the reason that despite the fact South Carolina is about 70% red, our Republican representation (apart from the patriotic Freedom Caucus) votes conservatively around 30-35% of the time collectively. That means they are more frequently on the side of Democrats. Since this is a red state, they need to put the R after their names to get elected. If this were New York or California, they’d have Ds, because they go with the flow to get elected, with the help of big corrupt money from PACs and the chamber of commerce. My own representative has an R after her name and votes conservatively 24% of the time. We deserve better than this.

———-

One of the biggest lies the fake Republicans will tell you is that the state is getting bluer due to the influx of people moving down here from the northeast, a claim which is easily proven false. Let’s take New York, for instance. They just elected a mayor of New York City who is a straight up communist. The furthest left they’ve ever been. So, New York is getting bluer. How is it possible that a state people are moving from and a state people are moving to are both getting bluer? It isn’t possible. The real threat to these people is that the people moving down here are actual conservatives, like me, and are not controllable. Their good ‘ol boy establishment circle is threatened by us. That’s what they aren’t telling you. There’s a reason Lindsey Graham is now viewed negatively by 57% of the state. The only chance he has to win is if more of the establishment and Democrats get out to vote than conservatives do – that’s what he is counting on.
