GSYR Has No Interest in Truth (3/16/2023)

Public Service announcement. The Facebook page, the Grand Strand Young Republicans, does not care about free speech or the first amendment in general.

Let me rephrase. The admins of this page are clearly anti-free speech. To me, this says they should not even label themselves as republicans, but that's neither here nor there.

About a month ago, I wrote a piece about my experience since I moved down here and got involved with the county's republican party. I shared my story on a dozen or so local conservative Facebook pages. The piece was merely an opinion, a former outsider's perspective. Nothing in the piece was mean spirited or objectionable. Yet the admins of this page felt the need to remove it.

I realized this about a week ago. Being as inquisitive as I am, I had to ask why. So I did, mentioning that no rules of the page were broken. I got no response for a few days. Finally, a member of the page inquired what the article was about. I told her it was an opinion piece, etc. Also mentioned it was on a dozen or so other pages, and not one of them took it down. I asked if I should repost, she said no, it got around enough since it was on all those other pages. (Sounds like opposition to free speech to me.) I asked if she'd like to read it. No answer.

Then I checked back a day or two later. I was kicked off the page completely. That's their answer. Avoidance and removal. I can only draw one conclusion to all this - the admins of the page are threatened by free speech and did not want my message reaching the youth of the party. They obviously did not like what I had to say in the piece as it called out rinos, politician lovers, the power hungry, and the self serving, since they fit that description. They are merely a wing of the corrupt establishment we patriots are fighting.

So, plan B - I'm posting this everywhere I can in the hope that several people may be on that page and one of the ones that believe in free speech. Perhaps those people may care to call out the admins of their page and tell them to stop acting like democrats.
