Targeted by the Pirates (2/28/2023)
Well, it was inevitable.
Apparently, I’ve been targeted by one of the Rino “GOP Pirate” sympathizers. This comes as no surprise. Last week, in light of everything going on lately with the Horry County Republican Party, I decided to write an opinion piece detailing my experience since I joined a little over a year ago. My involvement occurred due to my chance meeting with some of the party members at a gun show back in October 2021. I spoke with them for a little while, and decided to get involved. I knew nobody in the party before I moved down here two years ago. No prior allegiances, no knowledge of what was transpiring behind the scenes. It became clear, as time went on, that one side were grass roots patriotic Americans fighting for the people, and the other were power hungry conniving frauds seeking to undermine the leadership they didn’t like from the start. It was easy for me to side with the former. All of this was described in the piece I wrote a week ago.
Well, one of those aforementioned pirate sympathizers was triggered by my article, so much so that she decided to try to discredit me and my experiences. The attached picture is what she decided to write. It is full of lies, and I’m about to prove it. It is worthy of note that she did not mention me by name. We are not facebook friends. She undoubtedly hoped I would not see it, and would be able to spread her falsities uncontested to her politician-loving friends exclusively. (No such luck, Kelly LaPietra.)
First off, she claims she “recently met somebody down here in Myrtle Beach……” Stop right there. We’ve never met! That’s the first lie. We have never met or spoken before. Not a single time! We were in the same room at the same time on three occasions (by my count, and unlike certain fake republicans, I do know how to count). The first time was at the fraudulent meeting of the corrupt politician-types when they tried to usurp power from the duly elected chairman and his staff, at which I was in attendance to expose their corruption. She sat up front, I sat in the back. The second time was on Election Day, where she was working the polls in my precinct. (Side note – four of the people working the polls with her live in my neighborhood, and they all said how much of a horror she was to work with. Very bossy and demanding, they described, when nobody put her in charge.) The third time was quite recent – it was February 9, 2023 at Friendly’s restaurant in Myrtle Beach. It was a meeting of the Grand Strand Patriots, a group of local conservatives looking to make a difference in our community. At this meeting, she was asked to leave by the meeting’s moderator, as was his right to do. She put up a fight, and the police had to come to get her to depart. Again, we never spoke.
Next, she claimed I stated I was from New York (I am) and was involved in New York politics. Oh, really? Did she even read my piece? I never said that. In fact, I’ve said on many occasions that the opposite was true. I’ve engaged people and supported some causes in New York, but that’s about it. Being involved in politics is not as much a measure of one’s integrity, as my detractor is implying. If that’s her measure, she’s probably a big fan of Joe Biden’s! At no point did I say I was involved in politics up there, so that’s big lie #2. All the other lies spout from that one. She claimed she could not believe I was involved in local politics because we have zero friends in common from that area. Well, she unsurprisingly didn’t do her research, because I’m not from that area. I made a special trip to Port Jefferson one day to support a business that had been in the news a few days earlier. I drove an hour and a half to get there. I lived on the other end of Long Island. The venue was called Roger’s Frigate, and it was in the news because a leftist tried to pull down the owner’s “Impeach Cuomo” sign. I wanted to support that business, so I went out of my way to do so. So no, Kelly, I’m not from that area, was not involved in politics, and her apparent deep dive into my background turned up no results everyone didn’t already know.
She checked my voter registration, as per her claim. But she didn’t look hard enough. I was not registered as a Republican in New York. I was registered as a Conservative. I voted in every general election, even in off years, since 2004, and I never voted for a Democrat, not even once. (I wonder if my sycophantic verbal attacker can say the same.) It was either Row B (Republican) or Row C (Conservative), and they were often the same person.
I lived in a town called Franklin Square. Sean Hannity’s hometown. As it were, I listened to Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity on the radio on a near daily basis. One of the things Hannity would always say was that he wasn’t registered as a Republican, since the party let him down frequently, and that he was rather registered as a Conservative. That resonated with me. And that’s why the side of the party I’ve chosen to align myself with resonates with me. So often, the left wing of the party uses the word “republican” when describing themselves. But they never use the word “conservative.” Conservative values matter not to them.
Her biggest point, which I’ve now negated, is her calling me a fraud for saying I was involved in NY politics. Show me where I said that. I challenge her to do so. It is my assertion that she is the real fraud here. She saw an article, was triggered by it, and felt the need to say something, but only to an echo chamber.
Lastly, she stated that I’ve made the claim that I know all the groundwork of the party. Again, where did I say that? Please show me. I got involved, saw things happening, and expressed my opinion about them in a piece I wrote about it. That’s it. I even included that it was an opinion piece at the end, so she really can’t debate that.
To summarize. We never met. I never said I was in politics in NY, either where she lived or where I lived. I’m not from her area, nor did I live there. Pretty much every word she said is a lie, and I’ve proven it.
I can see where the delusion comes from. Recently, she was interviewed outside the SC State House (at a “Look at me, I’m taking pictures with politicians and feeling relevant” event). She was quoted saying the war in Ukraine was fabricated. Staged, as if performed by a bunch of actors. Perhaps we can agree that we shouldn’t be sending millions of our tax dollars over there, but staged? C’mon.
I could do a deep dive into Ms. LaPietra’s background as she has done with mine. But nah. She really isn’t that important. I don’t have that need to feel relevant or important. That’s a sickness, really. I’m not sure why she was so insecure, felt the need to make all this stuff up, and search my background, but I can promise it was not time well spent. All I ask is if she wants to say something about me, she can, just don’t do it behind my back. Show some fortitude. Or she can post my article next to her unfounded lies and let people decide for themselves who is telling the truth. My guess is she will not.
Last but not least, she recently posted publicly a picture with her and none other than Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez! Yep, this is the so-called “republican” who’s calling me a fraud. Sounds like the pot calling the kettle black.
I urge anyone reading this to read both pieces and make a decision for yourself. No secrets on my end.
