Charlie Kirk: American Martyr
The world I’m waking up in today is far different than the one I woke up in yesterday.
Many of us were saying the same thing 24 years ago, but for a very different reason.
Charlie Kirk was an American icon. He was the best thing we had. He was the one changing the landscape. He was changing hearts and minds. He was engaging youth who hold the country’s future in their hands. He was always peaceful, and always welcomed those in opposition. “We must have discourse, so we don’t have violence,” he has said. The left couldn’t defeat him, so it came to this. He was so intelligent, so well versed, and so well prepared to counter any argument the left had. I have said in the past that he had the biggest target on his back out of any conservative – and that includes President Trump. Boy, do I wish I was wrong. Trump will be gone after this term, but Charlie Kirk was the future. And they knew that.
Assassination culture has been a growing phenomenon on the left for years. 55% of liberals think if President Trump were assassinated, it would be justifiable. What more do we need to know to realize that liberalism is no longer about values like free speech, but for the exact opposite? If there is a voice expressing opinions not shared by the collective left, they must be silenced! It’s become clear that despite what they’ve been preaching to us for years, the left is the side of hate and violence. They are the side that rejects God. And once again, there is proof. Currently, there is a Gofundme page for the criminal scumbag who stabbed Iryna Zarutska. There’s at least one for Luigi Mangione. And don’t forget, Kamala Harris was setting out funding to bail out violent protestors in 2020. If there is even one ounce of morality on the left, I am not seeing it. How is it possible, no matter what political persuasion you are, that you can watch that video of Iryna getting stabbed for no reason, and believe the murderer deserves funding? They will probably set one up for Charlie Kirk’s murderer when he is brought to light as well. If you vote for this party, you are the problem. If you advocate this, you are the problem.
We live in a sick world with some very sick people, and their numbers are growing. They shot Steve Scalise because he was a Republican. They tried to assassinate President Trump twice (that we know of). They shot up a church killing two kids a few weeks ago. They burn cities, throw molotovs, and threaten speaking engagements, which often lead to events being cancelled. Tons of other examples exist. Those of us on the side of freedom, liberty, and righteousness DO NOT DO THIS.
The last time I remember feeling like this was March 1, 2012. It was the day Andrew Breitbart died. We have so many figures out there that are crucial to our movement, but Breitbart was, in my eyes, the biggest threat to the leftist culture at the time. One may think of Rush Limbaugh, another personal inspiration to me, but at least he didn’t die before his time. Andrew Breitbart and Charlie Kirk did. They were 43 and 31, respectively. Way too soon. Breitbart has gone on to expand and thrive, and is an even stronger organization today. That’s what has to happen for Turning Point USA, and I believe it will. The assassination will only strengthen our resolve. They want us living in fear. They want us to be silent. They want us to go away. They want us to accept evil. I will not. We must not. We must carry on Charlie Kirk’s legacy. We must change hearts and minds away from what they are being taught is acceptable.
Rest in peace, Charlie Kirk. Well done, good and faithful servant.
