Election Day 2025 - the Bad & the Ugly
It’s not easy to be optimistic after yesterday’s elections – and that pertains to local elections even more than national. Nationally, the results are pretty much what was expected, although the margins may not have been. I thought Ciattarelli was going to win in New Jersey, but Virginia was another story. They actually voted for the guy who wished the former house speaker dead, and said the same about his children. That not only should have disqualified him, it should have dragged down the entire democrat ticket.
What we have there is liberal privilege in action. If a republican said those things, he’d have been thrown off the ticket, kicked to the curb, and maybe even thrown in jail. But a D after one’s name affords certain privileges. Jamal Bowman with the fire alarm. Pro-Palestine protest inside the capitol (insurrection, by their own definition). Loyalty to other countries in congress. Staged hate crimes. Russian collusion. Mar-a-Lago raid. Autopen. Covid origins. Coke in the White House. Ukraine impeachment hoax. Antifa attacking cops and burning down cities (& Kamala Harris setting up a fund to bail them out). Announcing a shadow government. Benghazi.
There have been penalties for precisely NONE of this. And yes, the Trump justice department is partially to blame. Pam Bondi, as previously stated here, has been the biggest disappointment in the Trump cabinet. With all of this going on, voting for any democrat (with a few exceptions, like John Fetterman), is voting for acceptance of all of the above. Acceptance of burning cities. Acceptance of fake paid for protests predicated on a made up concept of kings. Acceptance of violence. Acceptance of defunding the police. The left has no moral compass any longer. There was a time when they did, but old time democrats like JFK would today be kicked to the curb by today’s democrat party.
I have friends in New York city. I wish they got out while the getting was good. Now they will have to live in what happened there, as the third world takes over. Or they can try to join the hundreds of thousands who will leave, inevitably driving home prices down. Is there reason for optimism? I believe there is. First of all, God is still in control. Secondly, the results and aftereffects of what is about to occur in New York City could have positive effects on next year’s midterms and even 2028. We shall see.
As far as local elections are concerned, I could not possibly be more disappointed in the city of Myrtle Beach. The one person consistently pointing out corruption only got around 16% of the vote. The winner of the race, yet another chamber-backed shill, received over 50% to win without a runoff. The current corrupt mayor may be out, but the guy voted in will likely be nothing more than an extension. He’s already claimed he doesn’t want to hire now police officers, nor cut the chamber budget. He’s already been part of the chamber for over 20 years. We are in for more of the same, from the looks of it.
Not enough people care to see what is going on around them. The richest candidates with the most signs and most support from the Chamber of Commerce are the ones that win. It’s been the same for years here. Mark McBride was exposing the evils of this town for what they are, and he was beaten by big money. It’s evil.
They easy path to take after yesterday would be to give up. Throw in the towel. Nope, it’s going to take more than that to keep me out of the fight. Every single election is going to be an uphill battle for the side of righteousness and good. We’re always going to be the underdog. And that’s just fine. They want people like me to give up and go away. I’m not going to give them what they want. The corruption will be exposed. We will get more people to pay attention. Eventually, the wicked establishment will go down, and it will be glorious when it happens.
