Fighting the Power Hungry Establishment in South Carolina
The establishment class is a big thorn in the side of the American people. They glom on to power and career politicians. That is what is important to them, not actually representing us. On a national level, establishment Republicans are a constant let down. Since establishing a majority, the Republican party has been a do-nothing party. Under the current majority leader, John Thune, we can’t even get the Save America Act passed, the most basic measure to protect American elections from the fraudulent left. If the left achieves power, they have already told us what they intend to do – pack the courts and add two new states (meaning four Democrat Senators). They can’t win fairly, so they move the goalposts, and our own party cannot even seem to take measures to prevent this and protect American integrity. It was no different under Thune’s predecessor, Mitch McConnell.
The career politician-loving class does not just exist on the national level, it exists on the local level, and I have been battling them for four years, since I got involved in local politics. These people are the reason that despite the fact South Carolina is about 70% red, our Republican representation (apart from the patriotic Freedom Caucus) votes conservatively around 30-35% of the time collectively. That means they are more frequently on the side of Democrats. Since this is a red state, they need to put the R after their names to get elected. If this were New York or California, they’d have Ds, because they go with the flow to get elected, with the help of big corrupt money from PACs and the chamber of commerce. My own representative has an R after her name and votes conservatively 24% of the time. We deserve better than this.
These fraudulent people are also the reason we have Lindsey Graham. To these people, voting conservatively half the time is acceptable. Supporting corrupt tax dollar wasting programs, like USAID, is acceptable. Sending your children to die is acceptable. Sending billions to Ukraine is acceptable. These people are not conservatives by any stretch of the imagination. They and their PACs ALWAYS support the closest candidate to a democrat there is with an R after their name, in this case Lindsey Graham. Any serious conservative rejects Graham. Rush Limbaugh used to appropriately call him Lindsey Grahamnesty. Charlie Kirk, in one of his last appearances in Myrtle Beach before he was assassinated, said it was time to get rid of fake Republicans like Lindsey Graham, naming him specifically. Benny Johnson condemned Graham on his show last week during an interview with his conservative opponent, Mark Lynch.
I have been involved in a few campaigns over the past couple of years where I knocked on doors, showed up at events and asked tough questions (usually the rinos don’t allow any hard questions – ask Pamela Evette), put out signs, and engaged in the community around me. The establishment choose the easy path, while I choose the uphill battles. The biggest problem we have is open primaries, where democrats can vote on a Republican ballot during the primary. If they know their party likely won’t win the general election, they can at least cross over and pick the swampiest, most liberal Republican. This is how we get Lindsey Graham and house reps with 24% conservative voting records. They have the establishment, who are practically Democrats, and actual Democrats voting for them. There is talk of closing the primaries, but I am not confident it will happen, because the man at the top, party chair Drew McKissick, is one of them. His own power would be threatened. But he needs to act like he is for it, so he does so in the e-mails he sends out. Another big problem we have – people do not vet their candidates enough. They show up at polls and primaries and vote for the people they have been exposed to the most, which are always the ones with the most money.
One of the biggest lies the fake Republicans will tell you is that the state is getting bluer due to the influx of people moving down here from the northeast, a claim which is easily proven false. Let’s take New York, for instance. They just elected a mayor of New York City who is a straight up communist. The furthest left they’ve ever been. So, New York is getting bluer. How is it possible that a state people are moving from and a state people are moving to are both getting bluer? It isn’t possible. The real threat to these people is that the people moving down here are actual conservatives, like me, and are not controllable. Their good ‘ol boy establishment circle is threatened by us. That’s what they aren’t telling you. There’s a reason Lindsey Graham is now viewed negatively by 57% of the state. The only chance he has to win is if more of the establishment and Democrats get out to vote than conservatives do – that’s what he is counting on.
Further proof South Carolina is not as red (the politicians, at least) as they have a reputation for – this past week we had a chance to redistrict, as Republicans across the country are finally fighting back against the left’s gerrymandering game. The measure failed, with five “Republican” senators crossing over and voting with the Democrats. Those five senators have conservative voting records of 35%, 29%, 32%, 29%, and 27%. This is why South Carolina is referred to a “the bluest red state” in the country.
